Why the name "Grumpy Grandma & Co."?
It was born the moment our founder became a grandma in Alberta and realized she had too much love—and too little patience for low-quality mass production.
Is everything clearly handcrafted?
Most of our products are handcrafted with intention, care, and a healthy dose of Grumpy attitude—but not everything is made entirely in‑house. Some components and production steps are outsourced to trusted partners who meet our quality standards. Whether it’s crafted by our hands or theirs, every item is finished, checked, and approved by Grumpy Grandma before it ships. Quality stays consistent, no matter who helps make it.
What's with the "Bad Attitude"?
It's our way of saying we don't sugar-coat. We love what we do, but we believe in sharp wit, bold designs, and a little healthy grumpiness.
Where do you ship from?
We ship right out of Parkland County, Alberta, to fellow grumpy souls across Canada and the US. Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout, and tracking appears the moment your parcel leaves the workshop.
Can I get something custom made?
Grandma loves a challenge. Most of our products can be personalized: pick your options, type your name or text in the box on the product page, and email any logos or images to hello@grumpygrandma.ca after checkout. High-contrast PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF files work best for engraving, and 300 dpi or higher for printed items. Want to see it first? We offer a proof for $5 per item and wait for your approval before we start. Custom orders are ready in 7-10 business days and for bulk orders of 5+ items depending on the size of order it may take longer), and because they're made just for you, custom items are final sale. How long does shipping really take?
Grandma works at her own pace (which gets impressively speedy once the caffeine kicks in). Ready made items ship within 1-3 business days. Custom made items are engraved and printed in-house by Grandma, so allow 7–10 business days to make sure they are perfect. Larger or more complex orders may take a little longer—quality takes time, darling.
What materials do you use?
We use only materials that meet our intentional‑quality standard: premium stainless steel, high‑grade neoprene, durable fabrics, and professional engraving and printing supplies. If it won’t hold up for every order—whether it’s one or fifty—it doesn’t make it into a Grumpy Grandma product.
Are your designs original?
Some are, some aren’t—and we’re upfront about it. Grumpy Grandma creates a mix of original artwork, curated designs, and licensed elements. What matters most to us is intention and quality: every design we use is chosen carefully, crafted deliberately, and produced to the same high standard, whether it started in our sketchbook or from a trusted source.
How do I care for my items?
Each product comes with its own care instructions, but the rule of thumb is simple: treat it with the same intention we made it with. Most items prefer gentle washing, low heat, and avoiding harsh chemicals. Engraved and printed pieces last longest when kept dry, cleaned lightly, and not tossed around like yesterday’s laundry. Quality stays quality when you give it a little love.
Can I return something?
Yes—premade and blank items can be returned if they’re unused and in original condition. Customized items cannot be returned, since each one is made intentionally and specifically for you.
